    I wouldn’t call it stealing.
    The song was written by Laura Nyro and she was the first to record it. After that, it was covered first by Brian Auger and the Trinity, then by Canadian group Sugar Shoppe [[with Victor Garber, who is now an actor of some renown, as vocalist), then by Paul Revere & the Raiders, then by Thelma Houston, and eventually by the Fifth Dimension.

    I tried to post the special but couldn’t copy the link o YouTube. I bel they sang Ladder and Someday. Jean def didn’t need any coaching on Someday - did a great job!
