Marv, she's so underrated. Her studio version of Home literally gives me chills when I hear it. Loved the Broadway version too but this is beautiful.

Jerry, she is the ONLY one that can sing that song for me and make me believe it! It is her signature song. I like how she remembers her friends that were lost.

Now here is where she broke it down for them on national TV at the AMA's in 1981. I watched this on my tiny television in my dorm back in college:

Still my favorite SM song. Patti LaBelle was originally given this song.

Hey Marv , have you ever noticed that in this song Stephanie never once sings the song's title? [[ only the male back -up vocalists do)

Wasn't there a bone of contention with her and another singer over "her song" a few years ago?

Now, what other singer would be dumb enough or egocentric enough to argue over a song Stephanie Mills originated on Broadway and loved by millions?

If the implication is Diana Ross, the answer is NO. That is fake news.

Stephanie is absolutely the best. Yesterday, Stephanie posted on Instagram a picture of Her and Diana Ross, her captions/hashtags read something like: #Diana Ross #theboss #theWiz, #blackgirlmagic, #Love me some her- with 2 heart emojis, a Queen emoji, etc.

Miss Marv loves to stir up the drama. You would think he would perhaps give it a rest whilst the world is in such turmoil, but we should have known better. A leopard never changes it's spots.

That became an anthem of sorts. My late cousin Susie use to sing it a lot.

You Putting a Rush on Me still jams in my book! The remix is off-the-hook too.

One of those "can sing the phone book" singers. Easily one of my favs. My mom used to play Stephanie's stuff. I don't think a week goes by where I don't listen to something Stephanie.
