I love it, except for the "everything must live, everything must breathe" part. That's always annoyed me. But a great song nonetheless.

Is this a different vocal to the album or does it just seem that way because the backgrounds aren't in all the usual spots?

It sounds like the same vocals as the album. The only edits I hear is one near the top and maybe one near the end, in addition to the early fade.

sounds like it should have been on Everything is Everything...mediocre cut.

I happen to like IT'S MY HOUSE...it's laid back and snappy at the same time...lots of AM airplay in NYC

It's My House has always been my favourite song from the album. As you comment, it is laid back but also snappy, upbeat and uplifting. A fun song. It did reasonably well when released as a single in the UK, but could have been a big hit for Diana had it been the first single and not had to compete with another version by a group named Storm.

It’s My House is fine but about my 4th or 5th choice as a single; but then I wouldn’t have chosen the Boss as the first single

I would have chosen No One Gets the Prize
