As 2019 comes to a close

As fans of the Supremes, as 2019 comes to a close we have a decent amount to be happy about and thankful for. The Supremes disbanded on June 12, 1977 so it has been 42 years since the group was signed to Motown and performing and releasing music.
In 2019, we had three different performers still out there singing and entertaining us. Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Scherrie & Susaye, formerly of the Supremes with Joyce Vincent are all out there still performing and doing a wonderful job. I am amazed at how wonderful they all still sound and what wonderful jobs they are all doing in their performances STILL after all of these years. Their love of performing is as strong as our love of being entertained by them.
Diana Ross has had her Diamond Diana celebration, has performed regulary, announced a new album coming up as well as a European tour. Kudos to her!
Mary Wilson celebrated the 60th year of motown, performs regularly, was on Dancing with the Stars and released her coffee table Supreme Glamour book, Kudos to her!
Scherrie Payne & Susaye Greene are performing together with Joyce vincent [[which is what the group would have been had the Supremes carried on with no original members), they released an EP of Christmas music, released a single that was offered for Grammy consideration. Kudos to them!!
Cindy Birdsong is beloved. She is too ill to perform but is still with us and just celebrated her 80th Birthday! Much love to her!
Lynda Laurence retired from the FLOs, but has been seen visiting Miss Wilson and Scherrie & Susaye at concerts. Although, she has not been out performing, she looks very well when she was photographed and is hopefully very happy with her new endeavors. Much love to her!
Jean Terrell does not perform regularly and is out of the spotlight. Hopefully, she is enjoying her new endavors and is quite aware of her place in musical history. Much love to her.
Florence Ballard is no longer with us, but is much loved by fans. Hopefully her family and friends are aware that the fans hold her with much love in our hearts.
As 2019 comes to a close, Supreme fans have much to be grateful for. 60 years of Motown and the Supremes after all these years still bringing joy to those who have loved them all of these years and to those newly discovering them.
