    Why aren't they doing a special DVD release like they did with Motown 25? We need this and Motown RETURNS TO THE APOLLO and other shows.

    There are a lot of questions I had about Motown's decisions beginning in 1988 and onward.

    They probably figure that the latest Motown doc that BG released is definitive they don't want to take away from the sales/revenue for that doc. But I do agree that this one deserves to be on DVD and is the best doc on Motown, as they were able to interview many key players before they passed away. Motown 40 is the story of Motown told by many voices, which is how its story should be told.

    I remember the original broadcast. Fortunately I recorded it onto VHS and made my own dvds.
