    Yes indeed; Motown was still doing well in 1970 with lots of hit singles [[IMHO, 1971 would be the last year when Motown would do that well).

    1970 was the peak year for Motown on the charts

    There was a large fall in 1971 and larger in 1972

    It's interesting to see the charts in retrospect and see now what was happening. Times had changed and so had the desires of the single record buying public.
