This is Diana Ross' brother, Arthur "T-Boy" Ross. He co-wrote this for Marvin Gaye. They gave me this album for free at a record store back in the day [[1979):

Now I'm hearing it was Leon Ware who wrote the song alone. T-Boy collaborated with him on Marvin's album "I Want You". I still think he helped write it.
