    HDH's origins of "Baby Love"

With it playing on Dancing With the Stars, what does this pop culture bonanza have it origins when it comes to HDH?

According to Graham Betts' "Motown Encyclopedia": "...Berry Gordy instructed Brian and Eddie Holland and Lamont Dozier to come up with something similar [[to Where Did Our Love Go), with the result the trio constructed rather than wrote Baby Love with the Supremes in mind...Baby Love was not a song the Supremes were particularly keen on....All of the elements from WDOLG were reincorporated into Baby Love, including instrumentation from the Funk Brothers and the foot stomps from Mike Valvano. However, one subtle change was the decision to allow Mary Wilson and Flo Ballard solo ad-libs towards the end of the song, virtually the only time they would get to do any solos on record for the rest of the decade..."

The above is just a portion from the section of "Motown Encyclopedia" which has more information about "Baby Love." I am just providing the information Mr. Betts provided from his book and I am not validating or denying his information.
