Thats exactly what i think everytime i hear it...and funnily enough it was a toss up between this and Eddie's "Tell Her Love Has Felt The Need"...both just just absolute gems.

NGroove you are really coming up with some good ones from throughout the "Motown Era". Thank you!

I agree Mowsville. Both songs are excellent. I lean more towards Eddie's solo material during this period of roughly 1972-74.

    Thank you very much.

I believe I shall define the "Motown Era" as 1959 - 1986, as Motown was still actively pumping the hits, both pop and soul, before Motown became more affiliated as "oldies", more used by movies and Richard Simmons.

And, gives me just excuse to include this snappy, memorable favorite from the group who started as funk, but became more known for ballads.

Starting to get concerned about lack of Junior Walker. Ah well, first entry of his will be one of them "pretty" Johnny Bristol productions.

here's one by The Four Tops featuring the Andantes that I like to revisit on occasion:

Just curious ...does this song make anyone else sad, melancholy ? Is it me or the composition ....

    what a voice

One of Smokey's classic compositions, recorded by The Marvelettes. Probably his most covered song ever. Still, this is the iconic version by which all others are measured.

Marvelettes "The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game"

50). My favorite H-D-H, Diana-Mary-Flo Supremes number, complete with Diana's breathy spoken breaks.
