    The elgins - how sweet it is (to be loved by you)

    Listening to this now reminds me of just how awesome the Funk Brothers were. It also gives me the idea that many of the Motown produced tracks could have been hits for a number of their singers and groups. Earl Van Dyke is just killing it here! Give a listen:

    The way this song was reworked reminds me of the treatment HDH gave to the version of the Elgins' "Put Yourself In My Place" by Chris Clark. Both updates were completed in June 66.
