Today 6/25/2019 marks 10th Anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson.

I am surprised nobody has posted anything today on this very sad day. There will be a gathering at the Glendale, CA Memorial Park where he is buried and also a gathering at his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I have not heard of any gatherings in Gary, IN at his childhood home or in Detroit at the museum headquarters.

Play some Jackson Five and Michael Jackson music today in honor of this great artist.

Buried? Read an article that now claims he was cremated! And his more visible daughter and son are wearing his ashes,in a locket, around their neck! Any validity? Rumor?

I saw a tribute on television this morning. I remember the day well. Hard to believe 10 years has gone by so soon. Rest in power Michael Jackson, you did good!

That was a ridiculous rumor. He is entombed at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.

Here is an article showing the mourners who went to Gary to honor Michael Jackson. There are some great pictures of the house here.

My first memory is his iconic turn with Dancing Machine. All us kiddies would gather'round the floor model Zenith cheering at the set!

This is my earliest memory of Michael and the Jackson 5. Later they would appear on the Ed Sullivan Show to sing this and "Who's Lovin' You?"

Believe it or not, it was right here on the forum when I found out Michael was being rushed to the hospital with what was thought to be a mild heart attack. [[At the time, I was still lurking, not a member). I don't remember who posted the initial thread, but I remember the posts relaying grimmer and grimmer updates. Finally, I got off the computer and when out for a drive to calm my nerves and run an errand for my mom.

It was after I got back when she told me he was dead! needless to say, I was beyond disillusioned. I was already dealing with the sudden passing of one of my dad's cousins. He was in-route to Alabama for the funeral when he got the news.

Same here Jboy88. Someone had posted it and ran into the living room and turned on CNN, and there it was ! NBC was reporting it also.

Another great Michael Jackson memory. I think we went to see the movie because of this song:

Never heard of that. He's buried in a mausoleum. I think his father Joseph is also buried there.

If you look real close at the conclusion of the song and the audience shot, you will see Berry Gordy sitting with his daughter Hazel.

Not to forget, Farrah Fawcett also passed ten years ago on the same day as Michael.

Which is a real shame when you think that Michael had such a love/hate relationship with him and completely cut joe out of his will.

I know. So weird. What's even weirder is Joe died some three days and nine years after Michael's death. Think one of Joe's last words were he wanted to reunite with Michael.

I hope Joe Jacksons at peace now. He didnt seem at peace during his life and hurt a lot of people along the journey.
