I just recently learned that Bobby Lewis, now 94 years old [a record old age for a singer?] once lived in Detroit for a good portion of his life. Although he was born in Indianapolis, he moved to Detroit after being adopted and left Detroit in 1961 just as Motown was starting to bloom. I can't help but wonder if he would have had any success at Motown had he been able to obtain an audition with Motown. I am certain everyone remembers Tossing & Turning.
It's a great song. Any thoughts on this?
