Too late now. I heard about that fire but didn’t know how many of the Decca tapes were lost. Truly tragic when you think about all the great works lost that day.

Just great. Well, we know much of it had been released to cd in the past thank god but for those albums never released to cd, now will never get the chance. For the unreleased stuff that still hadnt seen the light of day, now will never be heard.

Pretty crazy and sad all around. It makes me think about the recent Notre-Dame fire. I suppose nothing lasts forever in a physical sense.

exactly - at least get this stuff digitized and in a cloud storage. then they can release from that. but so sad to think of the creative and artistic loss
