I agree Ralph. As famous as they were, they were never "stars" in attitude or in the way they carried themselves. Similar to our Four Tops.

I remember my mom digging this song when it came out. I still have a 45 copy.

The Dells have been around forever. One of the first records that I bought was OH WHAT A NIGHT.

This is a true group. Check out this live performance of STAY IN MY CORNER. Love this live performance

There's no forgetting The Dells. From their mid '50s hit, "Oh What A Night" to the run of hits they had from the late '60s thru the early '70s "Stay In My Corner", "There Is", "The Love We Had [[Stays On My Mind)", "Oh What A Night" [1969 remake]) and 1991's "A Heart Is A House For Love"; The Dells are Soul Music Royalty. Again, RIP Chuck Barksdale.

Yes! I picked up the single when it came out in Spring 1973 and "Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation" is still one of my favorites by The Dells [[also had the pleasure of seeing them do this live in 1983).

That's right. From the Spring of 1973. I use to hear it on the radio all the time then.
