    Nancy Holloway (1932 -2019)

    Nancy Holloway passed away yesterday at 86. Nancy was an American-born French singer who left the U.S. in the late 50s and became a star of stage, screen and song in Europe. Most of her recordings are in French so she never had much of a profile in the States. Although her activities were dutifully covered by Ebony and Jet magazines over the years. She was celebrated in her adopted home. "Hurts So Bad" is one of her rare English recordings and it is a monster:

    I can't say I've heard of her but that's a fabulous track you posted. Will have to check discogs . Rest in peace.
