    This show is great. Season 1 Was about classic old school country music artists and season 2 was dedicated to funk. Mike Judge is very clearly a music fan.

    That was actually Nelson George. He helped with the production of the series and also appears in several episodes. The people telling the stories are reciting their first-hand recollections from being there at the times that the events occurred or how the events were reported to have happened.
