Yes! Jeff Goldblum of Independence Day and Jurassic Park fame.
He has a new jazz album on Capitol that is unbelievably good.
I highly recommend it if you're into jazz.

I watched Jeff on a TV chat show performing "Straighten Up And Fly Right"
Still can't quite get over it LOL
What instrument does he play?
I like Jeff Goldblum from all the way back to "Tenspeed and Brown Shoe" with Ben Vereen. I like the fact that he cares nothing about age and is doing what he wants to do now!
I've always thought of jeff as a jazz type of guy,i hope to hear his lp.
Well Rob, its all relative these days. We don't have Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, or other piano greats in the marketplace. I was expecting little from this CD and it blew well past my low expectations. It is a bit commercial with the guests, but I like it much, much more than anything else "contemporary" jazz has to offer. I was very pleasantly surprised. From a musical viewpoint, I'm sure it can be critiqued. But from the standpoint of other jazz offerings on the market today, I like it more than anything I've heard in the past two or so years.
So I'm guessing the interest here is the novelty factor. Jeff, whom I've actually met years ago has been playing for a while now. Though I like his taste and spirit I'm sure he knows
damn well he's not turning the jazz world upside down. I can think of a dozen other
pianists making real strides in the business and if it's a novelty thing ones needs to
spark interest I'd suggest a listen to Joey Alexander. He plays rings around cats like
Jeff, nominated for a Grammy and only 14 years old....
