I would've said Melba Moore MIGHT have gotten more commercial success had she been on Motown but knowing the label's history with talented artists they signed and didn't do nothing with [[*coughStephanieMillscough*), I'm glad she didn't.

That's an interesting one midnight, hadn't really thought of that. I'm mostly familiar with her mid/late 70s stuff with Van McCoy and then McFadden & Whitehead. But I think I agree, I don't think being at Motown would have done her any better. And to share my current Melba JAM...
