    Motown 40 DVD

Does anyone know it's possible to get a DVD copy of the 2 night Motown 40 documentary that was done about 20 years ago?

I wish. Motown is letting us down especially with lack of new DVD releases.

Good question! Motown 40 has yet to issued on DVD and it's long overdue.

I still have the VHS cassettes that I recorded from the original broadcast. I made my own DVDs from those.

This is what puzzles me about West Grand Media and dePasse Entertainment. They sit on a treasure trove of all these great TV specials, yet they do nothing with them. TCB, GIT, Diana!, Goin' Back To Indiana, Motown 40, etc. I'm sure PBS would snatch these programs up in a heartbeat. What's preventing it? Copyrights? They and Universal have wasted so many opportunities. It's a damn shame.

Part of it has to do with the trickery Ms. DePasse pulled with "Motown 25". Now it is much harder to get artists to sign releases.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to make copies of your DVD?

You can try Video Beat - I can't say that I actually received a product from them but they can get you a recording on DVD. Try using theor contact information before ordering anything.

    good luck

also in all honesty I watch TCB and GIT a couple of month ago. They are a bit outdated and I would not see a big market fro them except for the die hard fans.
