    90.9 WRCJ- your thoughts?

I've been getting bad dreams about radio commercials, so I decided to find something "commercial-free" for the radio airwaves. I tried WEMU-FM for jazz long ago, but their NPR top of the hour news was getting annoying.

But for the entire Detroit area in the public media field, I've listened to bit and pieces of, and looked at on PBS affiliate WTVS' [[Detroit Public TV) website 90.9 WRCJ since I heard it was not an NPR affilate and it was funded by Detroit Public Schools, so I looked at that site and saw maybe an hour of news per 3 hours instead of one hour, but am still skeptical. What is the best day to listen, is there holiday music specials, and most of all what are your thoughts on this radio station?

Hello IMissFlo93. Regarding 90.9, I don't think that the genre changes from day to day on the station. In the weekday mornings up until 7:00pm, they play classical music; after 7:00 they play jazz, their byline is "classical days and jazzy nights". I've never known them to have holiday music specials.
