It's a different world but very interesting I'd say.

I've listened to about 10 of these tracks and I'm afraid that they do nothing for me! I love old style gospel so I suppose that to quote the Four Tops 'I'm in a Different World'

I'm with Copley in that "different world." I love the old style, Southern Baptist type gospel. I can listen to Mahalia Jackson, the Sensational Nightingales, the Swan Silvertone Singers, Spirit of Memphis Quartet, all those groups forever. But often contemporary gospel music leaves me cold. One general observation is too many vocal pyrotechnics; I want them to just sing in praise of Jesus Christ without all the flourishes and stylistic embellishments.

But of course music is always changing and that style kind of follows the general way of singing in Pop music as well.
