Motown #1s bumped off charts by former bandmate?

    Hi all,
While rereading the Billboard Book of #1 R&B hits, I noticed that "Let Your Hair Down" by the Temptations was unseated by "Boogie Down" by Eddie Kendricks. After a quick glance through the book, I did not see any other instances [[Motown) where a former bandmate unseated a former band on the charts at #1, or vise versa. Granted, my book stops at 1990.

Does anyone know of any other instances where this happened either in the U.S. or elsewhere?

They mean members of former bands.

I don't think there are other examples btw.
