    Motown's Most Autobiographical Song Performance

Doesn't have to be written & performed by the same persons; the synthesis of the two is sufficient.
My vote: 'Papa Was A Rollin' Stone'

Stevie Wonder’s “Visions”, “Living for the City”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Shelter from the Rain”, “Positivity” or “Angie Girl” come to mind immediately.

David Ruffin’s “Statue of a Fool” too.

Jr. Walker with “[[I’m a) Road Runner.

The whole HERE, MY DEAR masterpiece from Marvin Gaye...
His own “Jan” live in Oakland

Paul Williams’ “Feel like giving up” and Roger Penzabene penned “I wish it would rain”

Do you mean autobiographical for the artist[[s) singing the songs? If so:

Goin' back to Indiana - The Jackson 5
We're here to entertain you - The Jackson 5

Music and Me - Michael Jackson
To make my father proud - Michael Jackson

Nope. If it was "Toronto Wants Me" it would make sense. R Dean Taylor was born in Toronto and never lived in Indiana. He lived in Toronto and Detroit and LA.
