[Off-Topic] Cilla Black - Cherry Red Mono/Stereo reissue

I know Cilla Black is rather an off topic subject for Soulful Detroit, but considering how Motown afficianados value mono mixes, I thought this would be a good place to post an appeal relating to mono mixes.

The Cherry Red label will reissue Cilla Black's 1969 Surround Yourself with Cilla album, paired with 1976's It Makes Me Feel Good, on 20th July 2018.

If you'll notice from the tracklist below, the compilers currently have only programmed 10 of the 12 mono album tracks from Surround Yourself with Cilla for inclusion on this 2CD set. The mono mixes of "It'll Never Happen Again" and "I Am a Woman" have been dropped for time. Getting 10 of the 12 mono album tracks feels like being pipped at the post.

Even if no one here is invested in Cilla Black at all, never mind having the complete mono album of Surround Yourself with Cilla as a CD release, I think most forum members would agree that it sets a bad precedent to included an incomplete "mono album" on a CD - especially as the present era is basically the last chance for such releases. Can you imagine if they'd dropped some of the mono album tracks from the Expanded Edition of Supremes A' Go-Go?

This is not a case of the compilers' hands being tied. There's room for the discarded mono tracks on Disc 2. Alternately, other bonus tracks from Disc 1 could be moved to the second... If the compilers want to keep the eras distinct, they could put those two mono mixes as hidden tracks with adequate silence to separate them from the main program. In short, there's really no reason for these two tracks not to be included.

I'd entreat anyone reading, who believes that a comprehensive reissue should not drop tracks arbitrarily, to let the compilers know that they should reinstate the mono mixes of "It'll Never Happen Again" and "I Am a Woman" to the program.

Please drop an appeal/comment to the compilers to do the right thing. The contact details are below:
