What was his connection to Motown, Jimi? The obit mentions several Motown groups but doesn't go into much detail.

This Billboard obit for Regan is fuller, indicating his early time plugging Motown records in California when he was at an indie distributor, and later when he joined the company under Jay Lasker in 1987.
