Whitney performing Loverman and All the Man That I Need at the 1991 BMAs

People go on about her tragic life but she possessed one of the greatest instruments ever in that voice. And she was only 28 here!

That was a monumental performance. I taped it from television myself. She was at her best here.

Here's a slightly better quality clip of the performance without the lyrics. She killed it!

She's one of those artists that became legendary before they turned 30.

This was at a point where she was like "The Goddess of All Music" yet, people were not insanely worshiping her like some do Beyonce. Where is Adele?

One of my favorite, if not THE favorite, of Whitney's televised performances. She was firing on all cylinders -- I love the part of "My Man" where she hits that high trill on "I'll be !!!" -- and what is most extraordinary is that a crowd of industry folks were on their feet for the whole performance. The audience knew they were watching an extraordinary talent.

Totally agree Guy. A truly iconic performance never to be repeated.
