I see that Ella also recorded "Ooo Baby, Baby", and "Get Ready". Who could have predicted that? I wonder if she also recorded "Do I Love You [[Indeed I Do)"?

Absolutely. Ella did some great odd-ball covers in the '70s but they sure worked.

Yes, indeed! You haven’t lived until you’ve heard La Fitz do “Sunshine of Your Love”!

    Interesting. I quite like it.

Just listened to Ella's versions of "Get Ready" and "These Boots Are Made For Walking", and, well, I like them both too.

Both the “Ella” and “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be” albums on Reprise are just true gems. Have you heard her version of “Sunny”? Truly amazing.

I checked that one out too thanxal, it was very good. I think most of Ella's stuff might be too early and too jazzy for me, but I like this later stuff.

The "Sunshine of Your Love" album is in a similar vein. You might like it too.

Oh my, now I'm on a big Ella tangent.
Here's "Sunny" from "Things Ain't What They Used to Be".

Thanxal - any Ella tangent is fine by me. Just love her. Never saw the Jones clip; quite nice. Say what you will TJ sure respected his fellow musicians.

I only wrote "notorious" since on the other board the mere mention of his name would invoke a 90 day fight about Mary and Diana! LOL!
