    No not quite,dee dee sharp is a very cool songstress who had classic hits in the sixties..[mash potato time] was her biggest.

    But Dee Dee is from Philly and had been having hits since the very early 60s. No, it has to be Chicago singer.

    I did some research and the only female background singer I found listed is Ruby Stackhouse. The fact that I never heard of does not mean much, I guess. But then, I found she recorded as Ruby Andrews. Solved?

    I've heard of Ruby Andrews, but something tells me that she is not who he means. I could be wrong.

    I believe it is Ruby Andrews.

    I've just compiled a nice Cd-r of all her Zodiac sides.

    we have a winner,ruby andrews remarked on a radio interview that she indeed sang backup on the[cod's]classic.
