Valerie: “Love Woke Me Up This Morning”

On the Motown 1967 Unreleased package, their is a ”first version” of this song. Is there any significant difference between this unreleased track and the version on her Motown and Soul Music Records CDs? Thanks!

They are very different. The early 1967 version uses the same/similar backing as The Temptations and Brenda Holloway versions. Valerie's LP version has a different backing plus runs at around 3:19 as opposed to the 2:25 of the 67 one.
