I love little things like this. In the 1970 film version of Neil Simon's "The Out-Of-Towners" with Jack Lemmon, there is a scene where he and Sandy Dennis are outside the Waldorf-Astoria talking to a police officer. In the background there is a Diana Ross & the Supremes poster advertising their 1969 appearance in the Empire Room at the hotel.

Me, too! Likewise, in Paul Schrader’s classic BLUE COLLAR starring Harvey Keitel, Yaphet Kotto and Richard Pryor, a woman can be seen in the party scene wielding Diana’s EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING LP [[presumably to do lines off of it?). 😁

On the TV show "Good Times" in Michael and JJ's room there is a small black and white pic of Mary, Jean and Cindy in the afros and black turtle necks on the wall. Same thing in the background of young Michael Jackson's at his parents home in the 70s.

Well, Osama Bin Ladin had a mad crush on Whitney Houston and had actually plotted to have Bobby Brown killed so that he could have her! True story.

Love the way Erykah Badu recreates the album cover of Diana Ross's "Blue" in her music video of "Honey"--particularly because Blue was never released on vinyl [[as far as I know).

Osama bin Laden is said to have lusted after Whitney Houston, dreamed of marrying her and at one point even plotted to murder her husband Bobby Brown.

In the film A MAN CALLED ADAM [[1966) starring Sammy Davis, Jr. and Cicely Tyson, Joe Eula’s famed portrait of The Supremes at Lincoln Center hangs on the wall of the club.

There's a scene in Cactus Flower where Goldie Hawn's character works at a record shop. Although not a Motown record, the soundtrack LP to The Happening is on the shelf behind her in a couple of frames.

More recently, I watched the show Tiny Homes or something like that where a young man had a poster of Florence Ballard hanging up in his house. It was the painting of her from the greatest hits album.

Just realized "Joanna" features the same poster!

Also, in Ossie Davis' Black Girl [[1972), Peggy Pettitt's character has a Diana poster on her wall. It's one of the stills with the blindingly sparkly gown from the gatefold of the Diana! soundtrack.
