I remember when it came out. I liked the samples of the songs I heard. I wonder if it is still available and where could I buy it?

Somehow I missed this completely. I don't think I'll bother now.

Ooo, this is interesting. I kinda liked the samples I listened to. Do you know when it was originally released?

All the tracks on the CD have grown on me. Some very nice performances too from Jimmy, Dennis and Levi & the Tops. Martha sounds quite different to what I would have expected [[and I mean in a very nice way if it is her).

I thought it was download only, not a CD.

You're lucky, although I was hoping to find a traditional CD. I want this bad enough to download it. Thank you Longtimefan.

"Detroit Classics" is a 10 track CD which was released in 1999 as noted earlier in this thread and introduced as a disc on the original post.

The album was made available digitally in 2011 and was re-titled as " With Love... From The Motor City" having different artwork and one extra track not on the CD which is "Theme From Mahogany [[Do You Know Where You're Going To)".

The download is available on Amazon in the UK and USA [[£7.99 in the UK). I have purchased the extra track to go with my 10 track CD.

Mysterysinger, would you happen to know if the original CD is available for purchase anywhere?

It seems to be a fairly rare beast but I don't know whether any of the used CD stores in the USA might have copies available.

Although I'm in the UK, I actually purchased my copy of the CD on ebay from a US store [[Motorcitymusic) along with a few other titles in order to save a little on combined postage.

Another forum member may have better ideas, but otherwise I would keep an eye on your usual sources such as ebay and Amazon. It might be an idea to set up a notification on ebay so that when it becomes available they will notify you.

I will post a couple more tracks on YouTube.

I should say that it was not dear to buy at all so don't expect to pay much if you do see the CD anywhere.

I will post a couple more tracks on YouTube [[requests will be considered lol). EMI Music will grab the advertising rights via a copyright claim I've no doubt lol.
Mysterysinger, you are the BEST! Please post Mary doing "Come See About Me" please?

The video of "I Hear A Symphony" isn't readily available in the UK. I'll sort you out CSAM.

I know that is Mary on background, but now I wonder who the other ladies were singing with her.
