Someone on my Facebook feed posted this . According to what I read, this is the demo recorded February 13,1970. It’s seem weird listening to it without the pips doing the backup but I do like it.

Presumably this is the same as the bonus track on the Reel Music issue of her album "Share My Love". Not bad at all.

Sometimes the songwriters' demos are as good [[or sometimes even better) than the released versions by other artists. In the case, I'd say Gloria's and Gladys' vocals are on a level field. The Pips of course made the difference. Too bad Gloria didn't get her big break as a vocalist at Hitsville, but she racked up a lot of writing credits there.
