Why she does not have a comprehensive Motown anthology/box set is beyond me!

Thelma was the first Motown artist I saw live, being, as she was, support on a UK tour with the Four Tops. Can't exactly remember her set list though I'd love to know it. "No One's Gonna Be A Fool Forever" was her latest record back then. It's still one of my very favourite Motown records.

Lo and behold. I was in my local K-Mart this afternoon and on their speaker system they played Don't Leave Me This Way. I was spellbound. This is a dynamic performance.

She and the pips did win for neither one of us. But I’m guessing since they had already left Motown that she doesn’t get credit for it.

    Or maybe Thelma meant “solo.”

I believe Gladys Knight is considered a group with the Pips.

Amazing! Thelma's voice sounds taylor-made for any and all of the songs in this video. She could have had a hit single with any of them had she arrived at Motown just a few years earlier.

She is an amazing lady. What I wouldn't give to hear her sing live "No One's Gonna Be A Fool Forever" once again.

Thelma's still got it! One of the most talented singers ever on Motown.
