    Desert Island List - Sorta

    Hi all,
Let's have a little fun here. If you were forcibly isolated for a week and forced to listen to nothing but 5-10 Motown songs of your choosing nonstop, what would they be?

    Mine would be:
    1. Love is Here and Now You're Gone - Supremes
    2. [[I Know) I'm Losing You - Temptations
    3. Hey Love - Stevie Wonder
    4. Maybe Tomorrow - Jackson 5
    5. Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever - Four Tops
    6. Too Many Fish in the Sea - Marvelettes
    7. Needle in a Haystack - Velvelettes

You skipped number four there. My top ten would be, in no particular order:

Bless You-Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
    Needle in a Haystack-The Velvelettes
    Don't Mess With Bill-The Marvelettes
Ain't Too Proud to Beg-The Temptations
Heaven Must Have Sent You-The Elgins
    You Can't Hurry Love-The Supremes
    I Got a Feeling-The Four Tops
Got Myself a Good Man-Gladys Knight and the Pips
Seek and You Shall Find-Marvin Gaye
I'm a Road Runner-Junior Walker and the All Stars

Notice that I intentionally chose ten different artists so as to spread the love.

This is difficult! I'm going to do what David did and try to spread the love among my favorite Motown artists so that my list isn't made up of the same three or four artists. Here goes...

    1) A Breath Taking Guy...the Supremes
    2) Dream Come True...the Temptations
    3) Please Stay...Marvin Gaye
    4) I'm Ready for Love...Martha and the Vandellas
    5) Without the One You Love...the Four Tops
    6) I Wanna Be Where You Are...Michael Jackson
    7) Good Lovin Aint Easy to Come By...Marvin and Tammi
    8) Brown Baby/Save the Children...Diana Ross
    9) Here I Go Again...the Miracles
    10) Who's Holding Donna Now...Debarge

I can't do it myself but I can say with certainty than none of either Robb's or RanRan's choices would make my list... it's crazy to think how you love those songs so much and to me they're just average [[for a Motown song, i.e. still fantastic)

It's really fascinating to see other's people's favourites though

I couldn't even begin to compile such a list. Mine would probably change every hour , but it is fascinating to read other peoples choices.
