    Jean Terrell era photo's.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there on the Jean Supremes but a few here and there. I always thought these gowns were white but only saw them in b&w. Does any one happen to have a decent size image of them in these gowns standing by a tree? I had a small one years ago but it's long gone. Also, I'm guessing this was mid-late 1971? Thanks!

Thanks davidh & longtimefan. I'm familiar with the FB groups and sometimes forget to check in. I just recently saw that photo of Mary with those gowns, how ironic. That first one is amazing longtimefan, thanks so much! There was one I saw that was b&w but they were in a more serious pose facially. But it's cool, I never saw the one you posted before. You guys have probably seen this but here's one on stage.

Interesting to note that those gowns were originally long-sleeved and apparently, at some point, the group [[or Mary?) had the sleeves cut off. I wonder if the long sleeves made it very hot for the girls on stage under the lights? They're pretty sexy gowns--lots of cleavage and that slit goes up reeeeeeeeeally high! I've long liked these--but I'm not sure whether I like them better with or without sleeves.

As you rightly say this is quite stunning and would have made a great album cover.

Just a few examples as there are endless ideas but not enough photo's. The Blues & Soul cover is another favorite. I would love to have a larger image of that but work with what I have.

I noticed that too, Nathan. Cindy is rather, well, buxom, for want of a better word.

The bright yellow picture above would be great for LOST AND FOUND: SOFT DAYS. :-)

Thanks DJMoch. longtimefan, That track list is just one I made up for an album. Of course they'd fit on a single cd. A "Soft Days" cover huh...hmm...I may have to bring Cindy back and change history a tad.

The title of the thread is "Jean Terrell era photos" - and the pictures from the "New Ways" album cover fall under that criteria.

Does anyone happen to have a large image of Jean, Mary & Cindy from This Is The Story booklet where they're shown in a full page profile looking slightly upward? Not the one with Mary giving the peace sign but same photo session. Thanks!

Always liked those yellow gowns. My instinct says they're from about mid-late 1971? Very interesting album cover. We never got picture sleeves for the 70s group but many imports. I've seen a Bad Weather sleeve with Cindy on it and I believe vice versa. So much for detail. As I said in the beginning of this thread it's always hard to find many rare photo's with Jean, 1970 - 1971. Thanks for sharing.
