    First picture

Do you remember the first picture you ever saw of
your favorite Motown artist? This one was mine. I bought
the 45 on vacation in Florida with my parents and stared at it the whole way home. Then, literally wore the record
    out!

While I haven't a favorite artist, the first Hitsville act photo I saw was on my picture sleeve of "Dancing in the Street." For the longest time I thought Nettie was Martha because she was front and center.

As a side note....I STILL have that 45 sleeve. It's yellowed with
age and I saw the tack marks on it where I had hauled it off to
college and put it up in my dorm room. Memories!

I also remember thinking, thanks to this picture, that the lead singer of The Four Tops was 'that guy on the far right', AKA, Lawrence Payton!
