Album and CD sales figures? Help...

Is there a place where one can go to find out how many copies an album or CD has sold to date?

I know you can go to the RIAA site and see gold and platinum certifications, but what about those albums and singles that did not reach gold or platinum status? Where can we get those numbers?

Is there a website?

Any help will be appreciated.

This is as close as you'll get outside of the RIAA site and it has its shortcomings too.
