Haven't seen Mary in a stage play, musical or otherwise since about the mid-90s. I am glad she still open to doing them:

Mary is a born muisical performer! Love to see her in Broadway. Thanks Marv
Great to hear that Mary's doing musicals!
But musicals about the menopause...?? Lol
Do you know what the musical is about? [[I presume it's not actually about the menopause in a literal / medical sense!) And do you know what role Mary will play?
No worries, the musical actually has its own Wikipedia page!

Whoa. Mary should've been leader singer of the Deep Soulettes!!
Why do you think she's doesn't sing really gritty soul music more often?? She sure is the talent! Like her performance of If I were your woman!
She does give us a little preview of that style when she does "Walk the Line" in concert. I think because of her Supremes/Motown pedigree that she keeps soulful abilities in check. Here she is in the stage musical "Supreme Soul" that she did in Sweden and other European Countries in 1997:
Then she turns around and can do the Pop thing......
Have you seen this one. Mary does a tribute show to Lena Horne. Here she performs a duet with British singer Georgie Fame and former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman's band "Stormy Weather":
