Hi honest man, I remember checking this out a while back and finding that this is NOT the Motown group that we all know and love! It is in fact a group from Cleveland, Ohio. I believe this was their only single ever released, on a label called 'Suspension'. Here's the discogs page for it:

The lead singer certainly doesn't sound like anybody who has sung lead with the Motown Originals.

Whoever they are, this is a pretty good cover! The instrumental track approximates the sound of the Funk Brothers. Could some of them have been moonlighting here?
