Diana's private concert/ visit to New Zealand 1989

On the weekend business tycoon/multi millionare Doug Myers passed away he was a very good friend of Arne Naess and at his birthday party in 1989 in New Zealand he pulled the ultimate surprise on his stunned guests - out walked on stage unaanounced was Diana Ross to perform an intimate concert for the few hundred guests..its the only time Diana has visited NZ she was struck by the open landscape and trees of my country which she called beautiful..she did one media interview on her visit - a 10 minute tv interview on the 7pm "Holmes" show [[Tv one)..the usually abrasive Paul Holmes was in awe of the legend and it was a mellow interview [[the broadcast should still exist in the TVNZ archive)

I love this Era of her career. She was so alive and vibrant at the 1989-1990 Tour.

She seemed really happy. I love her live renditions of This House and Paradise.

And she was at her peak with Arne. They seemed to really love each other.
