Chase Claypool has tons of physical talent. He showed that last year. Steelers would've never made him their first round pick. But his brain doesn't match. He is as immature as they go. And the Steelers don't need another episode of "JuJu 2.0." In Tomlin's post game conference he was asked if he benched Claypool. "Yep" was what he said.

Believe it or not, I didn't see the end of the game until late last night. Had no clue it ended inside the 10 with a chance to tie the game. Also learned about Claypool yesterday afternoon on the radio. Why has Pittsburgh become Diva Central for wide receivers in the past 10 years? Going back to Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders, it seems like there's always a WR who wants everybody to see him and is willing to set a dumpster on fire to make sure they do.

To be fair, Hines Ward was kind of a diva but not because he was an attention whore, but because he played with a sense of entitlement that every WR needs to possess. And he never hurt the team. If anything, it translated into wins. He was probably the last true team leader at wide receiver that I can recall in the league. I'll bet Pittsburgh's receivers alone have taken 10 years off Tomlin's life.

Somehow, you manage to find great but underrated receivers while also landing head cases and distractions.

Jerry, there is nothing in your post that I disagree with. And I'll bet your brother may feel the same. Some of these great physical talents but mentally immature as hell.

It's truly odd that it's the receivers [other than homeboy Le'Veon]. I don't recall the great Steelers of the past comporting themselves in that way. Really, I don't recall any Steelers besides maybe Joey Porter being a jerk and at least he was a charismatic jerk, not a disruptive one.

Well, somehow, the two college basketball teams AND two NBA teams I somehow root for all won tonight. First time I can recall that happening this year. It's clearly an omen that Atlanta is going to thrash Carolina tomorrow afternoon.

I am the sole person on the loser couch today [due to the Steelers doing it to themselves]. Ms M I hope your Boyz come through & Jerry I hope the Falcons do beat Carolina.

Great weekend for me. Tar Heels won. Buckeyes won. Sixers won. Nuggets won. Falcons won. Fins are in a bye week. Even the Blue Jackets won. The only bump in my road is Lamar Jackson being hurt a week before fantasy football playoffs begin, which will likely lose me some money. All things being equal, it was a pretty good weekend for me as a fan.

I'm not sure if you saw this: but on my homepage this morning there was an article about how prejudicial the 2 game callers [[CC & AM) were towards the Packers last night. Made me just shake my head.

Yes. That's because the NFL is on the honor system regarding vaccination. They developed a robust protocol but instead of having someone pick up a phone and call vaccine providers listed on their players' vaxx cards, they just took it for granted that everybody told the truth. I'm sure a lot of the infected players were actually vaccinated, but I never believed the figure of 94% of players being vaccinated and I especially don't believe it now.

This is what happens when "everybody is so tired of COVID" but COVID isn't so tired of everybody. I guess 800,000 dead aren't enough, so let's all go out to the game/concert/party/bar. It'll be well more than a million dead before this all gets better and it won't even seem like it's a big deal. Stick a fork in us.

Wow. I just got online for the first time today and now, Jaylen Waddle is on the COVID list for Miami as well. By my count, that makes their RB1, RB2, RB3, RB5, WR1 and a safety who are going to miss the game with the Jests. How do you win a game with your fourth and sixth options at runningback? Especially since you only average 2.7 yards per carry with the guys who normally play? Curiously, Miami is still a heavy favorite to win the game.

Meanwhile, the Clowns lost both Baker Mayfield [QB1] and Case Keenum [QB2] to the virus and they're starting a guy who just got brought up from the practice squad yesterday. Again, I'm betting the NFL was lackadaisical about making sure its protocols were followed. Players didn't complain more than we heard because they were allowed to slip between the cracks.

And to make things worse, the league is now making it easier to get back on the field if you're infected but asymptomatic. They're protecting games and money at the expense of public safety. Welcome to the Zombie Apocalypse. Only in this case, "zombies" are dead brains in living bodies threatening everyone else.

Dolphins LB Jerome Baker [who played for Meyer at Ohio State] just tweeted: "Not surprised. KARMA is catching up." I guarantee, he's not the only former player of Meyer's who isn't unhappy to see him flushed out of the league. I told my wife he would only last a year and a half on the day Jacksonville announced the signing. There's something wrong with Urban Meyer that we'll hear about in the next decade or so. He's either a malignant narcissist or highly functioning while on autism spectrum.

Yes. That's scary business, right there. Especially on a day when we learned that Vincent Jackson was the latest player who died much too soon [38 years old] due to complications of advanced CTE. I predict they're going to find a way to detect the presence of it in living brains in the next five years. All bets are off as to the viability of organized football after that.

But with that being said, I would have thought that 800,000 dead Americans would be enough to rally the country around figuring out how to eradicate a pandemic, so football will probably be fine, even with the sacrifice of young brains on the Altar of Economics & Ego.

You sure did. There's going to be a Monday double header. Also: Seattle v Rams and WFT v Eagles are being played on Tuesday. This is what happens when we move past a pandemic that hasn't moved past us.
NFL postponements: Raiders-Browns, Washington-Eagles, Seahawks-Rams games pushed back due to COVID-19 issues
Browns-Raiders will kick off Monday, with the other two games on Tuesday

    By Jared Dubin
The NFL has postponed Saturday's scheduled game between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders. The game will instead be played on Monday. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. ET and will air on NFL Network. Sunday's Washington-Eagles and Seahawks-Rams games have been postponed as well and both will kick off on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET. Those games will air on Fox and will also be available via NFL Sunday Ticket.

In the league's statement announcing the trio of postponements, it noted, "We have made these schedule changes based on medical advice and after discussion with the NFLPA as we are seeing a new, highly transmissible form of the virus this week resulting in a substantial increase in cases across the league."

The Browns placed more than 20 players on the reserve/COVID-19 list throughout this week, including 11 starters. They have had at least one positive test every day this week, and there were concerns from the NFL and NFLPA about safety issues with playing the game as scheduled. Both Washington and the Rams have been in the intensive COVID-19 protocols all week due to a high volume of positive tests.

Due to the postponements, all six teams will be playing their Week 16 contests on a short week. The Browns travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers on Christmas, while the Raiders, Washington, Eagles, Seahawks, and Rams would all have two fewer days than expected between games.

So far, so good. Atlanta had four shots to score agains the Forty Whiners and couldn't get it in. Hopefully, that's not indicative of what they're going to do for the rest of the game. North Carolina was blown out by Kentucky yesterday, which is always bad. Every other basketball [college and pro] that I've an interest in has been postponed due to the virus. You'd think we would learn.

Anyway, Jai has two more days to prepare his gameday hooch this week.
