Thread: Yo... Moe

  1. #6951
Morning Ms M, you are a very smart woman........by not watching

  2. #6952
Younghoe Koo went from being a franchise GOAT to being this year's goat in record time. Missing three field goals in a 3-point loss is inexcusable for a kicker. Falcons should be 8-2 right now instead of 6-4. Oh well, on to the next game.

Tonight's game will be interesting because Tua's played lights out for the last two weeks but the defense somehow has fallen off the cliff and untimely turnovers have resulted in two losses. Dolphins are perilously close to being eliminated from the playoffs. Things will get exciting with either a win or a loss against the Rams tonight.

Congrats to the Lions and Steelers for big wins over good teams yesterday. Sorry that the Boyz took the loss, Ms. M. Losing Dak is going to cause a lot of speculation over next year's roster construction and it's going to be hard to pay Micah Parsons what he deserves after breaking the bank for Dak and Lamb. Jerry Jones is about to make a very ill tempered and poorly thought out comment in 5... 4... 3...

  3. #6953
Parsons was the ONLY bright spot {for me} in a dismal day and I agree, receiving what he deserves is probably not going to happen for the reasons you named.

    Yes I agree!!!!

  5. #6955
I forgot about Koo & that he was your kicker.

  6. #6956
"Koo" is a four letter word in Falcons Nation this week. Of course, we're not the smartest fans in the league, so spelling might not be our strong suit.

  7. #6957
But, congrats, Jerry. The Dolphins win!!

  8. #6958
Yo Moe. with the exception of Valvano's tenure as basketball coach I have never been a State fan. However, NC State in da house! LOL

  9. #6959
Tua balled out today. Raiders carved up the defense, though. Now, Atlanta's already down to the Broncos so I'm going to avoid the Falcons message boards for at least a half. Pittsburgh handled their business against the Ravens and now have a commanding lead in the AFC North, so congrats, Moe. We'll worry about the Cowboys tomorrow night.

  10. #6960
Congrats Moe and Jerry Oz. Gave myself whiplash going back and forth but great games.
Ya'll know how I feel about my Boyz but the way we have been playing this, "We'll worry about the Cowboys tomorrow," made me laugh.

I have a meeting tomorrow night and because church folk don't understand efficiency when it comes to meetings, at least my church folk, I'll probably miss most of it. What will be will be.

Well, Atlanta's playing their second horrible game of the season. No effort on either side of the ball. One day, both of my teams will win.

  12. #6962
Damn Jerry. Trust and believe, I feel your pain.

  13. #6963
Congrats on the Dolphins win, Jerry. And sorry about the Falcons, too.
Ralph, the Lions azz whooped Jacksonville!

And thanks Ms M & Jerry. The Steelers held Lamar to only 1 TD! And that pic by Payton Wilson!! Short week....they play the Browns in Cleveland Thursday.

And just as good.....THE CHIEFS LOST TO BUFFALO!!!!!!! As you say Ms M: YIPPEE!!!

  14. #6964
Seahawks kicked Niner's butt. That makes me happy.

Geeze Louise, Go Detroit!. Congrats Ralph.

Don't care about tonight's line up but I still like the song {although not the best version they've done} so I'll watch until I fall asleep.

    Good Night peeps.

  15. #6965
Yeah Moe, the Lions were on fire today. and thank you Ms. M.

LOL! These things, they happen. We'll get 'em next time.

    I hope.

  17. #6967
    Ohhhhh, sorry Ms M.

  18. #6968
Oh well, it's just not our year Moe.

  19. #6969
Did I see there were 55 attempted passes? What, no running game?

  20. #6970
Ugh.......what can I say? The Browns, no less!!!!! Good thing I don't live in Ohio anymore.

  21. #6971
Sorry Moe. They fought like hell though and the snow in Mr. T's beard was adorable.

  22. #6972
LOL. I ran to the window to see if that snow made it down here. I literally two flakes falling on my patio.

  23. #6973
I'm talking to my girlfriend in Ohio. I asked if she had snow. Goes & looks outside & says:
"My summer tires are still on." She lives 20 minutes from the stadium. Steelers need to get their crap together.......

Where is Daniel Jones going? Any ideas?

  24. #6974
I have no idea. The Dolphins need to sign him to back Tua up, but if he goes down, the razor-thin playoff hopes are gone anyway. Jones got a bad deal in New York. I honestly believe there are probably 20-22 QBs in the NFL that are actual starter-quality. He's probably closer to #22 than he is to #32 and I would not be surprised to see him resurrect his career somewhere else.

  25. #6975
THAT was wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah Boyz. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats Jerry Oz.

  26. #6976
Lions won again making it nine in a row. I think I saw part of the game between ALL the commercials Fox could dish. What the hell is that all about? It takes you away from the game. Anyway....congrats Lions. Keep it up.

  27. #6977
Congrats, M M!!!! That sure was a unique finish!!

Congrats on the Lions win, Ralph.

    Congrats Jerry Oz.

    I sit on the loser's bench alone.......haha.

  28. #6978
Moe, sorry you have to sit alone on your bench. You can sit with me on my bench today and root for my Lions.

  29. #6979
Hell of a game Ralph. Congrats.

  30. #6980
It was a squeeker Ms.M, Chicago lit up in the 4th. but ran out of time.

  31. #6981
"Ran out of time" is one way to put it. P*ssed away the clock might be a better phrase. That might be the last close game that the Lions have this season the best game that the Bears played so far. Congrats, Ralph.

  32. #6982
P*ssed away the clock might be a better phrase.

    AGREE!

It will be interesting to see if Eberflus keeps his job.

  33. #6983
Once again I can say, YIPPEE!!!

You're up next Jerry Oz. Good Luck!

Aptly put, Jerry!!! That was a squeaker of a game for the Lions! Congrats, Ralph.

  35. #6985
Congrats Ms M!!!!!!!!!! What happened to CeeDee?

OK Jerry, 27 degrees in Lambeau.....YIKES!!!!!

  36. #6986
My understanding is he has a shoulder injury Moe.

    BTW.....Happy Turkey Day err body!!!!

  37. #6987
OK Ms M.......we had a FULL HOUSE so my game watching was limited.

Sorry about The Dolphins, Jerry. But your Falcons play The Chargers.

    And another AFC North battle.....Steelers/Bengals

  38. #6988
Dolphins are likely eliminated from the playoffs. That's what happens when you don't understand that tackling the other team's players is priority #1 on defense. Tua once again balled out but the line called it in and I stopped counting how many times he was sacked. These things, they happen.

Meanwhile, Falcons fans are panicking after two losses heading into the bye. I'd seek refuge into the comfort of college basketball, but beloved Tar Heels are getting off to slow starts and having to return in the second half against every good team they play. Not the recipe for success. And the NBA is kicking my butt thanks to the 76ers getting off to a franchise-worst start due to injuries to their three star players.

Sucks to be me, I guess.

  39. #6989
Moe, I'm watching the Pittsburgh game today. Rootin' for you.

  40. #6990
Thanks, Ralph. And they sure beat the Bengals!! Russell Wilson passed for over 400 yds.......wow!!

Sorry about The Falcon's loss, Jerry.

I'm hoping for an Eagle's win!!

  41. #6991
Every team that I'm rooting for has lost this week. Falcons? Check. Dolphins? Check. Tar Heels [basketball]? Check. Buckeyes [football and basketball]? Check. It's the worst week of fandom that I can recall having.

At least the lowly Sixers managed to blow out the Pistons last night [sorry, Ralph]. Prospects for the Nuggets tonight are dim and it's my fault.

  42. #6992
Jerry, no need to apologize for the Pistons. I no longer do so.

  43. #6993
LOL. They are much better than they were the past few years. I think they're a year away from the playoffs but, like with the Lions, they'll have a sustainable stretch of success thanks to the pains they're going through right now.

  44. #6994
Jerry, any comments about the hit on Trevor Lawrence?

  45. #6995
Yes. I know there's less than a second to react in that situation but most defenders have the discipline to not dive toward players on the ground. Let alone to avoid using their forearms to contact the player they're diving toward. In my humble opinion, it was a dirty hit and al-Shaair doesn't get the benefit of the doubt after years of triggering fights from his actions on the field. I can't speak as an NFL defender, but I see too many opportunities to do what he did that defenders avoid to believe that he should be given a pass.

With that being said, I would hate the QB slide if I was a defender. Lawrence wisely waited until the very last half-second to start going down and that would be aggravating for a defender lining up to make a stop. It's like waving a slab of red meat in front of a pit bull before yanking it away at the last second and expecting it to not bite your hand anyway.

In summation: It was unnecessary and it was avoidable and al-Shaair deserves the suspension and fine. I hope Lawrence is back soon.

Final thought: Lawrence has now suffered several concussions in Jacksonville. I wonder if we'll hear any of the "maybe he needs to quit" angst that we hear everytime Tua takes a hard hit and we wonder if he's going to get back up? Hasn't happened yet, so probably not.
