Thread: Yo... Moe

One more thing while I'm thinking about it. How do you feel about Trey Lance wearing a Dolphins jersey? Something about the kid that I've like since day one and I think he has potential. I realize potential doesn't mean much unless you capitalize on it and he still needs more reps. As a fan, how would you feel about on the job training with your Fins to see if he actually has what it takes to stay in the league? As much as I like him I'm not sure how I would feel about it but we have Cooper so I wasn't too concern. I was just happy he was away from Shanahan.

  2. #6752
I wouldn't mind having him at all. Kyle certainly thought he'd be the answer and drafted him with the third pick of the draft and Mike McDaniel is a disciple of Kyle. That makes me think he has the attributes necessary but I wonder about his confidence at this point. If we could get him for a 6th or 7th round pick, I'd be happy. I wouldn't want to trade more than that because he hasn't elevated up the depth chart since Dallas obtained him, so who knows what's going on with his development?

  3. #6753
    Let's get it together BOYZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. #6754
    Well this sucks eggs!!!!

  5. #6755
Wow, we stunk up the place today!!!!!

  6. #6756
Heck of a game KC fans, congrats to Moe and the Steelers too. I feel your pain Ralph and to my love Jai...whatever!

  7. #6757
And... The Falcons beat the Eagles on a last-minute drive that wouldn't have been possible in the last two seasons. I'm feeling hopeful. If we manage to play the Chiefs well - or, better yet, beat MAGA Mahomes - I'm going to lose it, y'all.

  8. #6758
It was frustrating to see them FINALLY play in only the last few minutes but it wasn't a total embarrassment so, I'll accept it and move on.

Congrats to Ralph and Moe and sorry about the Dolphins Jerry Oz, but the Falcons may come through, we shall see.

  9. #6759
Justin Fields is 3-0 in the Black & Gold. I'm happy for him because I don't think he deserved the blame he took for how bad Chicago looked when he was there. If Russell Wilson struggles in his first game back, Tomlin's going to have something to figure out.

  10. #6760
Fields was often inconsistent but still managed to put up some decent stats. But he was the least of the Bears problems imo. Russell Wilson needs to watch his back. LOL

  11. #6761
    Wow, sorry Jerry.

It's going to take time for me to get use to seeing Cousins with a Falcons jersey but heck, it would have been worse seeing Belichick.

We'll see ya in November. Until then I'll keep pulling for ya.

  12. #6762
Thanks. Two losses at home to two still undefeated teams. It was tough losing two starting linemen tonight, but if we can adjust [or better yet, get them back soon], I think we can turn things around. Except for an obvious missed defensive holding AND pass interference calls on the pass to Kyle Pitts in the end zone, we would have won tonight. But these things, they happen.

Hello Ms M & Jerry. Ms M, you couldn't be more right!! I wouldn't be surprised if Wilson is on the trading block if the right deal is out there. The Steelers are so banged up it isn't funny. We'll see. I know the Steelers play at Indy this weekend. Anyone else I don't know. We got home with the news of Hurricane Helene & she should be making somewhat of an appearance here Friday so we'll be busy with preparations.

  14. #6764
I lived in Memphis for a year. It's closer to the gulf than Nashville, but man, when it rained in Memphis, it poured. I got caught in traffic in the middle of storms so heavy, I couldn't see the tail lights of the car in front of me and barely saw the headlights of the one behind. Hopefully, you won't have a similar experience. We didn't have the remnants of a hurricane, but I can only imagine how bad it is. Be careful.

  15. #6765
Welcome home Moe. Just walked in the door. Need to get myself together before I settle in.

  16. #6766
Can anyone tell me who starts the 2nd half?

  17. #6767
Wow, can't believe he missed !

  18. #6768
Somewhat boring but I don't care. A win is a win! See ya in 10 days Moe, looking forward to it.Name: Goodnight Friends.jpg

Congrats Jerry. That was a nail biter but your Blackbirds pulled that one out of the fire!

Sorry Moe. Didn't see either game until halfway through the 4th quarter but I enjoyed watching Fields. Hope he gets to stay in for awhile.

  20. #6770
Thanks, Ms. M. I try not to gripe about officiating but the referees managed to insert themselves in the Falcons game several times with head scratching calls. Thankfully, we won anyway. Now, there's a huge game against the Bucs on Thursday.

Miami's playing Tennessee tomorrow night after losing two quarterbacks in two weeks. I believe there's probably only 20-23 starter quality QBs in the league, so lets hope Tyler Huntley has picked up enough of the offense in a week to help us win.

  21. #6771
Hi Ms M. Did not see Steelers game but heard from girlfriend in Pittsburgh that 2 turnovers cost them the win. Congrats, Jerry on your win.

I'll admit I've been busy. No sooner than we get back to town The weather came to town. Some furniture thrown down the street, water wasn't bad but I have 2 neighbors who got stuck near the TN/NC border where the dam burst in one small town. As of only 10minutes ago I found out they're ok & safe. But, I have to tell you that they were going to a casino [yes, they're old] without checking the weather.......who does that knowing about Hurricane Helen?? My nerves have calmed down from worry. Ugh.

My game watching hasn't been good today. But, I do know we play your boyz next Ms M!

Oh, really?! This place should be interesting a week from now.

  23. #6773
LOL! Good morning my peeps. I'm looking forward to our Sunday night game. Will be going to the store later today to stock up on olives.

  24. #6774
Haven't paid any attention to the Titans so far this season. Your Fins have my support though.

  25. #6775
Dolphins Nation is in full meltdown. Went from This Is The Year That We Take The Next Step to We Need To Fire Everybody And Start A Full Rebuild in the time that it took Tua to be helped off of the field after his latest concussion.

"Fan" is short for "fanatic" and there's a reason why that's the word that was chosen to describe them.

  26. #6776
Jerry, what's the latest on Tua's condition? I know I crossed paths while away with Garrett Webster, the son of former Steelers Center Mike Webster who was concerned.

Ms M, are you telling me that your stock of olives is depleted? You never ran out of olives in the past that I can remember. Or, is it going to be a LONG Sunday night? LOL

  27. #6777
Tua was placed on injured reserve status and can return in three weeks, although it appears he will be out at least seven games. He's been traveling with the team and reporters are saying that he looks good. I think he'll be out as long as it can be said that most agree he should be healed up. Another knockout and I think he'll be forced to quit, even if it happens four seasons from now. Personally, I think he should quit, but I don't have 200 million reasons to come back.

Mike McDaniel signed a new deal before the season began and we'll see if he deserves it tonight.

  28. #6778
My goodness... I'm trying to watch this game tonight but Miami's playing [and being coached] so poorly tonight, I'm going to demand that my eyes be donated to science before the fourth quarter starts.

  29. #6779
It seems the Lions are punching Seattle's ticket.

  30. #6780
    Good Morning Peeps!

Moe, as a fifty plus year fan of the Boyz, I'm sorta, kinda, use to their erratic playing. It's not them that's depleting my olive stock. There is a new Sherriff in town at my part-time gig and all I will say, LAWD LOVE A DUCK and all your little sheep!!!!!

Anyhoo, I agree with you about the coaching Jerry Oz. It sucked eggs and then some. One of the announcers made some idiotic crack about the players only being attuned to Tua's voice. All I could do was scream!!!

Congrats on your win Ralph but remember, win, lose or draw you need to show up. I'm just saying... LOL

Where is Jai? I'm getting worried about him!!!!!!

  31. #6781
You always tell me that, Ms M, so we'll wait & see what happens Sunday. Tomlin press conference today. We'll see what he says.

Sorry about the loss, Jerry. I couldn't believe that one.

Doesn't R&B [aka Jai] sometimes take a sabbatical? And he comes back??

  32. #6782
He's normally back well before now and pining for his beloved Ms. M to return for the football season. Hope he is well, especially since the Commanders look like this year's version of last season's Lions. He has to be happy about that.

  33. #6783
Okay Moe, I'm too lazy to look it up. So what did that "foine" [aka fine] coach of yours have to say during his press conference today?

Nevermind. Just found it on YouTube. I'll get back to ya in 58 mins and 3 secs. LOL

  35. #6785
Doubt I'll listen to all of the question portion but I'm impressed with the amount of respect he gave my Boyz, especially Dak. Foine and classy, my kind of man!!!!!

I'm looking for a good, exciting game, and of course win [for us]!!!!!!!!! See ya Sunday night.

Need to look at this man a little while longer and then....I'm out.

BTW Moe. Do you have any insider knowledge of what a "petty ball" is? Asking for a friend.

  36. #6786
Yes. Tomlin gives certain players a "petty ball" when they beat a team they used to be on. For example...Russell Wilson got a "petty ball" after the Steelers beat Denver, the team he used to play for. The meaning is that they did him dirty. Two other players got the same thing because they used to play for Denver, too.

I'll try my best to keep up with you Sunday night, but you know how I am.

  37. #6787
OOOOOOOHHHHH... That's funny, I like it.

Don't worry, I'll post as much as I can. Haven't done a play by play, cheers and jeers for awhile. LOL

  38. #6788
Jerry, the Falcons are playing tonight?

  39. #6789
Yup. I'm already geeked up and figuring out how to buy a mojo bag off of Amazon but I don't think it'll get here before the game.

  40. #6790
I missed the first half. Let's see what happens now.

  41. #6791
    And just like that... OVERTIME!!!

  42. #6792
    It's getting hot in here!!!!...LOL

  43. #6793
I might need to find some bootleg heart medication. This team is seriously trying to kill me this season.

I had just about given up. But I've got my fingers crossed. And my toes. And my legs. I tried to cross my eyes, but I can't see what's happening when I cross my eyes. Good googly moogly...

  45. #6795
    Omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  46. #6796
    oh my freaking goodness!!!!
