Thread: Yo... Moe

Oof!! Atlanta squeaks by the Bucs 16-13 after dominating both sides of the ball for 60 minutes. Two trips into the red zone ended up as fumbles one foot from the goal line and another time, we were inside the 30 and fumbled again. Desmond Ridder, who had three interceptions last week, had three fumbles today. And other than the 17 wasted points, he played well. Less than a week after I told ms_m that a 1 point loss is no worse than a hundred, I'm sitting here quite angry that what should have been a 33-13 blowout was actually a tight game.

    This team hates my guts.

Anyway, Miami and Philly go live in three hours and I might just have enough time to figure out how to self-medicate before the game begins. Does anybody know how to open a bottle of Old Granddad? I'm not much of a drinker but I'm afraid to do drugs.

You got a win Jerry, that's what matters right? LOL

I try to stay away from brown liquors [too sweet for my taste] but how about a dirty martini [Tito's] with extra olives. Always works for me.

I've been "waiting all day for Sunday Night." Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Congrats Moe, Your guys did their thing!!!!!

  3. #6203
A win is a win, Jerry. Congrats!!!!
I'm the Bombay Sapphire dirty martini with blue cheese olives. But not today.

And thanks Ms M. Although I thought that last 4th & 1 was NOT a first down, Steelers got lucky. But I'm happy Diontae Johnson is back. Now I've gotta find out when Cam Heyward is returning.

Good luck to the Dolphins, Jerry.

  4. #6204
Well, darn it. Eagles beat up on my Phins tonight in the 10th game in the 103 year history of the NFL that one team had 10 accepted penalties while the other had none called against them.

I'm gonna bite my lip about that and simply congratulate the green birds instead of suggesting that the officials must all be taking advantage of legalized sports betting to supplement their game checks. Because I'm not going there.

    Nope. Not me.

  5. #6205
Wow Jerry. It's not like you to make excuses but if it makes you feel better ooootay!

  6. #6206
Just a game, MsM They will rebound.

  7. #6207
    Any given Sunday.......

  8. #6208
    Zero.

    Penalties.

It was the 10th time in history that one team had 10 penalties while the other allegedly committed none.

And I'm seriously not making excuses. It's definitely NOT why we lost, but it would have been nice feeling as if we had a level playing field.

On to playing the resurgent Patriots again. I have a feeling this is going to be the best week of practice in South Beach in years.

  9. #6209
You're so nice, I'm saying it twice. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Moe!!!! Hope you're having a great one!!!!

  10. #6210
Happy birthday, Moe. May you be blessed with the best birthday yet and the least among the very many to come.

  11. #6211
Thank you Ms M & Jerry!! It was a good one.......& it sure helped that the 49ers lost another one....haha!!
And the Chiefs are #1 again.....we have to stop that.....again

  12. #6212
Now do you all see why i have zero faith in these bums[the comedians]sorry-no account good for nothing...they just don't care about anything but the paycheck...how the heck do you lose to this giants team??? And we get to play the eagles this sunday, final score-philly 45-comedians 14...and don't come to me with that[on any given sunday]it don't apply to this sorry bunch, 10 games left and i don't see a team that they can beat!! I'm out!!!

  13. #6213
I was surprised to see David Beckham getting mentioned in "Family Guy".
Is soccer getting more popular now?

  14. #6214
I'd think soccer has overtaken hockey as the fourth most popular spectator sport in the US and it's probably the most popular participatory sport among youth. Beckham, Neymar, Ronaldo, and Messi are probably the best ambassadors for the sport.

With that being said, Family Guy picks on everybody and everything, whether subtle or very well known.

  15. #6215
And they picked on Harry & Meghan. That was funny!!

The Simpsons is like that. I remember when they even hit on The Pope!

  16. #6216
Couldn't comment earlier 'cause I was in the middle of a serious soul food dinner but let me recap. We are on fire!!!!! teehee!

We be smokin'...in a good way. LOL

  19. #6219
Don't know where to look next, Fins or Eagles....decisions, decisions

  20. #6220
Yippeee....Pats lose again. Good Job Fins and congrats Jerry.

  21. #6221
Falcons' defense had its first bad game of the season and gave up 28 points today. Miami stepped on the Flats in Tua's 6th victory over Belicose Bill. He's beaten him more than any other QB and he's only 25 years old.

BTW: The Bungles just tapped out the Niners, which should make both of y'all happy.

  22. #6222
Ugh..........I don't even have to stay anything!!!!!!!! Even my husband gave me a side eye! Mitch T is not a capable backup!!

Ms M...congrats!! You really stepped on the Rams!!!!!

Jerry...Tyreek Hill got to 1,000 yds. in record time? Good for him!! Especially since it was against the Patriots!!!!!

And how bout Cincy who gives the 49ers their 3rd loss in a row!!!!

    R&B, sorry about your Commanders.

    And Ralph, you're up!!

  23. #6223
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....tol d ya George Kittle....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. #6224
Thanks Moe, we played a good game today. It will be interesting next week though. The Eagles lucked out and won that game against the Commanders but you can't count them out. Now, back to the Niners, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

  25. #6225
Tell me how you really feel, MS M,......hahahaha!

  26. #6226
It's not even about the lost to the Niners [which we deserved] but about Kittle. He expected to be fined for the shirt and stunt and declared, "it was worth it and would 100% do it again." So, a laugh after every loss is in order. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  27. #6227
The more I think about this the funnier it gets Moe. If I'm not mistaken and I don't think I am, Kyle said Purdy was the "real deal" and Darnold was the next Steve Young...otay!

After all the boasting and bragging during the very good start of the season the Niner fans are once again turning on Kyle, and calling Purdy, Jimmy G 2.0.

After the lost yesterday Kittle said they needed the lost so they can stew during the bye and get fired up. I guess the two previous CONSECUTIVE losses wasn't enough to get them "fired up."

Look, we all know Any Given Sunday is the way of the NFL and the Niners could very well get it together but in the mean time, and in between time, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  28. #6228
I agree with you about Kittle...arrogance personified.

How bout Will Levis getting his start for the Titans against [Jerry's team] the Falcons? I remember him sitting here during the draft & waiting......& waiting.

The Steelers need some kind of miracle, like getting rid of their OC, let Broderick Jones play instead of Dan Moore [their O Line can't be any worse than it is playing with Moore] & give the big TE Darnell Washington a chance.

  29. #6229
I always like a win but what really impressed me with my Boyz yesterday... it was obvious there were serious adjustments made during the bye...AND, the way McCarthy showed trust in his players, especially Dak. To me that's the sign of a good coach. Err body was working together as a TEAM and that's the way the game should be played.

I love my fantasy "husband" but I must admit it's time for Mike to step up to the plate and make chances. We shall see.

Didn't watch the Byrds [Just checked in on the score] so I can't comment on them but I think they and the Commanders [who seemed to have finally found their QB] will turn things around.

I told you that the Niners loss was only one game and that you'd see what kind of team you had in the following week. Looks like they decided the Star on the helmet was less important the people wearing it. Expect Dallas to be a top 5 team in most power rankings this week. Looks like San Francisco needs to find out what y'all did after they beat you if they're going to turn things around because nobody's intimidated by them and they're actually going to have to play hard to win. You'd think they knew that.

I watched some of the Steelers game yesterday and the offense is just... off. Same can be said for Atlanta, but we know that we blew it by not upgrading at QB in the offseason. Fans are now calling for the coach's head so we'll see what changes in the next week.

And Tua's still plugging away. Love that dude.

Jai, call the Commoners' HQ and tell them to trade Chase Young to Atlanta for a 6th round pick and a slab of ribs. I heard he's on the block and we need him.

  31. #6231
Congrats, Ralph. Lions win another one.

  32. #6232
    Thank you, Moe. Good game.

We haven't had the Harry & Meghan one over here yet.

Quick question. We've got all the series of "All-American" available to stream now. Is it worth watching?

  34. #6234
144man, what does "All American" include?

  35. #6235
That's about the high school football player. Haven't watched it but it looks better than a lot of today's fare.

  36. #6236
Hahahah, Jerry.....that tells you how much TV I watch.

And how bout the Colorado players getting their jewelry etc. stolen from the locker room of the Rose Bowl?

And Chase Claypool going to the Dolphins?
Last edited by moe; 10-31-2023 at 07:34 PM.

  37. #6237
I had not heard about that. I have a hard time believing that the hallways leading to their locker room aren't under heavy camera coverage. And I'm shocked if there's no security for players' locker rooms in the Rose Bowl.

  38. #6238
    And.......Chase Young to the 49ers.

    And crickets from the Steelers.

  39. #6239
I'm more concerned about the silence from Jai after his team traded two of its best defensive players yesterday. Have the Commoners given up on the season? Why didn't they do that two weeks ago?

  40. #6240
Interesting times ahead for us football fans....interesting times!

  41. #6241
Now the Raiders fire Josh McDaniels & the GM. Why hire McDaniels in the first place if they're not gonna give him a chance? He's a Belicheat disciple, & his way takes a while to set up. Makes no sense.

And the Steelers/Titans in Pittsburgh tonight.

  42. #6242
Morning Moe. I think your Terrible Towels have a good shot at a W tonight with Heyward coming back and Tannehill out. Good Luck.

I have a gut feeling Davis wasn't just concerned about the loses but Jimmy G as well since it was McDaniel's that apparently wanted him when no other team seem to be interested. Not to mention the word is, he had lost the locker room even before being fired. @#$@$%# happens.

  43. #6243
Hi Ms M. I sure hope the lackluster offense of ours wakes up. I can only hope that the Gods of our Prime Time Record open up & shine upon us.

  44. #6244
Steelers win.........I gotta watch this one again. Matt Canada on the sidelines?

I'm glad that WR from the Titans is ok.

  45. #6245
Congrats Moe. It was fun watching a heart attack game KNOWING it wasn't my team.

  46. #6246
Thanks, Ms M. There's been quite a few of those heart attack games.

  47. #6247
Im here jerry, and i approve of the trade, things are gonna change not til next season when the new coaches come in...[oh yeah they;re comin]we get a no.2 for sweat which we can use on an offensive lineman[gotta keep da kid upright]as for chase young, what luck as he gets to play on a playoff contender...as for this season it's over the[comedians]will lose to the pats in a close one[20-17]it doesn't matter my fate is sealed..looking forward to the draft in june!!!

  48. #6248
I feel you, Bruh. Miami's rebuild went well so I hope it works out right for your boys. Atlanta's rebuild went good until they put their faith in the rapid development of a young QB who's clearly not ready. Now, the coach is on the hot seat. We're starting Washington legend Taylor Heinecke tomorrow, so we'll see if anything changes.

  49. #6249
Looks like the stuff stolen from Colorado's locker room has been recovered. That's good news. Cops are saying some kids were responsible. That's bad news.

  50. #6250
How did underage juveniles get access to those locker rooms? I'm happy the stuff has been recovered. But don't you think that these players should be mindful as to what they post on the internet? Just asking.....
