Avatar function possible in profile page settings?

Hi all, i'm not shure if this question has been asked before.

Is there a possibility to add an avatar/profile-photo in your personal page settings, so that it appears in forum messages?

We have been asking for this feature for years. Lowell doesn't seem to be interested. I'm still wondering what's going on with the forum upgrade we were supposed to be getting.
