I'll check it out. The ones I know will not admit it. They are voting for him only because he is a Republican and will not talk about it. There are millions out there like that which is scary.

Look, I am telling you. These are not actors and there are millions in this country like this. I could never have the conversations like we have here with just random members of the American public. They don't have a clue and do not care for one.

Oh, I believe you! I deal with the public every day, and it isn't just twentysomethings that are ignorant. The people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s are no better, and they should know better!

The media characterizes them as "Middle America". Since the dumbing down of America began approx 30 years ago ,we are seeing this as being the way mainstream Americans are!

These are the people that still believe that the "Trickle Down Theory" will work as long as we throw others off of welfare. It has not work from the moment Reagan presented it to the country back in the 80s.

Yes, Marv!! The "Trickle Down Effect" makes absolutely no sense in and of itself, it's shameful that the economy was/is run like this. If the rich have the wealth and success how on earth will it naturally trickle down to the less fortunate??!!

Marv, there are more millionaires and billionaires than ever but they still say they need tax breaks to invest in jobs. All new money goes straight to the top and few new jobs are created. Trickle down economics never worked because it was only ever designed to give more to those who already have too much.

Yes indeed Jerry Oz. Giving tax breaks to the richest in society doesn't even make sense - actual logical sense - in my opinion.

And the amazing thing is that the more money folks at the bottom make, the more flows up toward the top. If poor and middle class people have more money, people at the top of the food chain are the ultimate beneficiaries [[and it doesn't even take long). There have been studies that show that after minimum wage increases, the local economy benefits remarkably. But when taxes are cut for the top 1%, very few invest in new jobs especially when most of their income is either off shore or they are already producing their wares in another company. SMH.

Jerry. I live on Long Island. There are approximately 145,000 millionaires that live here. During the great Recession of 2008 -2012, NYC, Long Island and Norther NJ were listed as the worst places in America to find new jobs! How could that be huh?

There are no words to truly express my feelings on this election cycle but just when I thought I had heard it all, today I had a discussion with an educated Black woman whom I will call a Trump apologist. Actually I called her dumber than a box of rocks [[that's the clean version) but that's another story.

Prior to this conversation it NEVER would have occurred to me this woman would consider leaning towards this man and although I didn't ask if she had or was planning on voting for him, the conversation alone pretty much told me she was.

For those that remember my post during the 2008 election, you KNOW I do not have any love for HRC so although I understand her dislike for Clinton as far as I'm concern, HRC could lie about dodging bullets to the cows came home and I would still be with her during this election cycle.

Unfortunately arr&bee, "The African Americans" for Trump you hear about or see in the media are NOT the only ones out there. It hit me like a ton of bricks today that many are simply not speaking up about their support for Trump.

This is probably the only time I will say to you.....I'm not amused. I can't even laugh to keep from crying.

Now that is scary. Why?? The Republicans set about demoizing HRC when she had the nerve to try to reform health care! How dare SHE! The they loved her in Congress when they got to know her and saw her talent and hard work and ability to build bridges to get things done. Now they don't like her again. George Bush deleted 22 million emails. Welcome to crazy land.

A few minutes ago, CNN reported that security removed a knife from Ted Nugent's possession at tonight's current Trump rally, and he remarked that it was still bloody.

Recently I saw some very informative -and scary- documentaries about low classes' situation in America and very often the people interviewed said : "we're disguste by our condition, so what do we have to loose ?" So they won't vote or they'll vote for a new [[i.e not a professional politician) candidate.

I don't say they're right, in fact I don't think so BUT I can understand them. It's the same here in France : more and more people turn to the right wing/fascist party because they're sick and tired by the other parties' lies. Be it left or right leading the country won't change their/our condition.

Whenever poverty is talked about in America the media focus is always on images of the homeless, people living on the streets and in shelters, the jobless, people in unemployment
lines or doing whatever to make or save money but the fact is in addition to those folks there
are millions of people, many referred to as the "working poor", living on the edge from day to day, in their homes or rented spaces but barely surviving, in dead end jobs, cutting routine
monthly costs [[including food expenses) to pay rents and have been doing so for a long time.
The thing is neither of these candidates will do anything about it because both parties have'
been deaf and blind to them for the most part, for decades. Happy election day. Whoever you vote for , be ready to accept their bullshit if your choice wins....

But, here in the U.S., a lot of Trump supporters aren't poor. A lot of them do have money. They are blue-collar, older, and mostly White, but most of the ones I know are not college, or even high school educated. A lot of them are retired military or own their own businesses. Some, like the christian right, have glommed onto Trump simply because they see him as the vehicle to further their social causes, particularly getting rid of abortion and not being forced to accept LGBTQ equality. There are a disproportionately male because they like the tough, macho talk. And, finally, there are the racists who fear a change in the demographic, resent having an empowered Black and Latino populace, and hate that a man of color is the President of their country.

Splanky, the hard reality is these political parties cater to those they think will contribute to them financially and those they believe are most likely to vote. Homeless people for example must have a permanent address to vote. Others have simply lost hope years ago and stay away.

Demagoguery is an appeal to people that plays on their emotions and prejudices rather than on their rational side. Demagoguery is a manipulative approach — often associated with dictators and sleazy politicians — that appeals to the worst nature of people.

Hillary Clinton's negatives are many but trying to equate her with Trump is mind boggling to me.

THINK with your brain and not with your emotions because if you don't.......

HRC has been fighting for families and children for 40 years. Doesn't that say a lot about her character? Trump has been fighting for himself and trying to dominate and belittle others. How can voters be so blind???

It's so close it doesn't matter who wins. If HRC wins, he and his base will go ballistic.
If he wins, HE will become even more narcissistic and dangerous and throw his base, the fools that didn't bother to vote or voted third party under the bus - and the rest of us with them!

I'm Black, a woman and the American voters just told me to kiss their collective a@#...some because they hate me, others because they were too ignorant to realize, that was what a vote for Trump or a third party candidate meant.

If there is any justice, on January 21, 2017 some world leader will piss your president off and he will demand the “nuclear football” ...start WWIII and we'll all be blown to smithereens.

If that doesn't happen and he decides to let Pence run the country … well, as a friend on Facebook posted....none of ya'll better not say sh$t to me on the boat back to Africa!

Kudos to all who are in a position to ride the next four years out. I'm a little jealous, somewhat pissed but will soldier on.

To those who made the choice to Make This Country White, I mean Great Again.... and since I will go high because you went low ....Thank You for the eff ...a jar of Vaseline would have been appreciated though.

No need to scold me Ralph. I'm out.

Jim Crow called us home last night. He said that our chains are right where we left them and that the trees have been somewhat bare, for lack of enough strange fruit since the 50s. But don't worry. There is plenty of room on the branches. Oh, and those burdens we left behind have piled up. We'll be able to get them done, though. The whips are in skilled hands to motivate anybody uppity enough to step out line. Oh, since we had the nerve to suggest that Black lives matter, he's going to prove that they don't. And there will be no straw for the bricks.

Face it: You thought that having a brother in the highest seat of power meant that we were closer to being equal partners in this great land, didn't you? And we were so grateful as a nation, we made him the most popular outgoing president in a generation while replacing him with the KKK's wet dream.

And some of you scoffed at Colin Kaepernick for bringing attention to what we will all find behind door #2 very soon. He was right and if you thought otherwise, go ahead and pledge allegiance to a country that won't pledge allegiance to you. I know that somebody reading this voted for him and may God bless you if you did. But wait until you learn that his secret plan to defeat ISIL is going to involve your son/husband/father/nephew going to Syria. Hopefully it won't be your daughter; Drumpf will find an excuse when she's raped by her fellow soldiers. Men and women shouldn't spend so much time together, he said that.

[[I wonder if the transgender people of color will be forced to use the "Blacks only" bathroom of their birth sex? They probably won't care, so long as we stay out of theirs.)

Well, it's time to make America great again. Get your popcorn ready, it's about to get real. And keep that shouting about fairness down. Nobody wants to hear it, least of all Mr. Crow. And we were so grateful as a nation, we made him the most popular outgoing president in a generation while replacing him with the KKK's wet dream.
