Just got Dianas Live From Vegas cd

..not an official release but the rights must be in public domain or something..1979 has to be the year Diana was in the best voice..Nik and Val took her to new heights with "The Boss" sessions and results shine thru on this cd..her voice if full bodied,a soaring range whats the name of the backing singers on the 79 tour? they are brilliant I have always felt Diana works best when shes working off other strong voices that why her first solo LP and Surrender stand up so well..This cd comes in a nice package with liner notes detailing her career the sound is not the best as its probably just burned from the dvd and could have remastered but its good to have this concert on cd I find An Evening with too choppy..this is I think Diana at her vocal peek

It is the Jones Girls that are background vocals on this LP/CD "An Evening With..." I wanted the cd after I learned the Jones Girls sang on this but when I could find it, it was a bit expensive. So I found the lp and converted it.

The Eddie Kendrix Singers were Diana's background singers during the 1978-1979 tour. at first, they were a huge ensemble. But by the time the Vegas show was done, there were only four of them. Members stayed with Diana for many years, with Bobby Glenn remaining until 1990.

I received this cd for Christmas - and what a joy it is to hear, especially as I have the same concert on dvd as well.
Diana is on top form, vocally, physically and in terms of show[[wo)manship!

Reach out and Touch goes on far too long but she sings Remember Me with all the fire she can muster...
