Truth be told, Brian Wilson doesn't need to piggy back on the Temptation to get a full house to come hear his performance...I was at the Hollywood Bowl a few weeks ago along with over 18,000 other fans to see Brian do his incredible Pet Sounds performance before a packed sold out audience...Brian's legacy grows and grows, despite the fact that Mike Love, who caught Brian in his former state of mental illness, virtually stole the Beach Boys name from Brian for a song and a dance, and as Brian recovered, Mike at one point a few years ago actually did incorporate Brian and Al into a successful "Beach Boys" tour I believe to celebrate the anniversary of the highly controversial Smile project...but at the end of the tour, essentially "fired" Brian and Al from their own group...the group that Brian started and wrote and produced their most significant material over the years, I'm sure due to the fact that Mike Love has a plethora of ex-wives to support and didn't want to cut Brian and Al in on the money...Now Brian gets his revenge, although Brian speaks very respectfully of Mike during his current tour, despite the fact that AL's son Matt [[who is part of the Pet Sounds tour) BLOWS Mike away in vocal ability...As you can see, I have little respect, as many other real Beach Boys fans agree, for Mike Love and his treatment and disrespect for the heart and soul of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson and the deceased Wilson brothers...May Mike Always need to lean on another act to fill a venue, while Brian goes on to greater and greater heights, as evidenced by his recently announced final added performance of the Pet Sounds tour at the Royal Albert Hall...

Mikes biggest claim to fame these days is not his "Beach Boys" legacy...but the fact that his nephew Kevin just won an NBA Championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers...
