    RIP Muhammad Ali

He was to sport what Motown was to music - breaking down barriers and winning hearts and minds. Here's a lovely picture. Any more of him with Motown stars?

Muhammad Ali was a huge Motown fan. I remember he did a television commercial for a local radio station back in the early 70s where he listed some of his favorite artists and most were from Motown:

    Mary Wilson and Ali:

Here's a picture of The Temptations with Muhammad Ali. According to Otis Williams book, "Temptations", the group sang 'Ain't Too Proud Too Beg' for Ali to relax him before the "Thriller In Manila" fight.Name: Scan_20160604.jpg

Ironically, Ali's favorite group was the Four Tops but I do not have a pic of him with them. They did perform for him for his 50th birthday tv special back in 1992.

Thanks for this great memory, Roberta. Yes, my mother used to always say that Ali and Belafonte were "the most beautiful men on the planet."👦🏽
