Did the cd reissue of Brenda's epic recordings come out yet?
Three Degrees - Beautiful beautiful!
JP did you put this on your utube pages?
Great to hear Dee Dee Sharp John,
Thanks,
Lorne
Jean Carn? Love her too!
Lorne
Thank you for "I Really Love You", John. A great song. FYI: I recently got the Collector's Choice reissue of "It's Mashed Potato Time" and "Do The Bird" albums on one cd. These songs have never sounded better. The did an incredibly good job. The same was true of The Orlons twofer of "The Wah-Watusi"/"South Street" albums, also on Collector's Choice.
the Stylin Stylistics! Loved and still love them. gracias senor
ya read my mind - I was just thinkin' about the Intruders hehe
Mandatory listening on Mother's Day!
The arrangement and instrumentation....just glorious!!!!
No not in stereo. I don't think any of Dee Dee's Cameo albums were in stereo. Her album with Chubby Checker "Down To Earth" was released in stereo. None of the Orlons albums were released in stereo either. I've read the "South Street" album had a stereo version, but I have never been able to verify that. Like The Orlons, some of Dee Dee's songs were rechanneled for stereo by later owners of the masters.
I love The Orlons' [[featuring Steve) version of this song. Thank you, John. La la la la la. . .
Hi John,
Thanks much
Steve
This song is timeless or maybe it reflects on the steady decline of this world.
From what I have read The Orlons are not on backing vocals on Rydell's version of "Cha Cha Cha". I had thought they were but according to Cameo they were not. However, when the Orlons backed Dee Dee Sharp on the "Mashed Potato Time" and "Gravy" singles it was only the three girls Rosetta, Shirley and Marlene. And Marlene was alone when she did background for The Tyme's "So Much In Love".
Hi Jim,
Did you see my emails? Those are CD titles.
Steve
